The Global Water Challenge was one of Global Health Connections original projects. It was started in 2003 and lasted through 2019.
It was a Denver-based challenge that focused on researching water issues both locally and globally. Students studied water issues and prepared water-themed skits in preparation for competition day.
It was primarily funded by the Denver Rotary Club and served over 17,000 middle school students.
The Water Challenge was put on a temporary hold during COVID and could possibly be resurrected in the future.
When the 2010 earthquake in Haiti devastated most of the island, GHC stepped in to help. We were instrumental in the sustainable redevelopment of a Maternity Center/Clinic in Leogane, Haiti. In July 2014 GHC had a ribbon cutting ceremony for facility, where safe, clean deliveries are now provided to the entire community.
