We at Global Health Connections want to change the way aid is delivered and received. We believe that together we can
empower individuals to connect, engage and improve the health and sustainability of their communities.... and our world.
We currently work in western Kenya, in Kisii, Nyamira and Homa Bay counties, and will be scaling our model east into Kajiado county, outside of Nairobi, in the spring of '24.
We are focused on an entirely new way of providing assistance—rather than simply giving or doing, we teach and empower communities to solve both current and future problems. We respect people and believe in their capacity to build up themselves and their communities. In short, we help people better help themselves.
GHC utilizes a holistic, sustainable, community-driven model that addresses the issues of health and economic instability through empowerment. Our Community Health and Empowerment Clubs emphasize education, training, and community input and involvement to facilitate ownership and long-term sustainability.
