Salome Aluoch Nyariro, Project Officer/Regional Coordinator

Salome holds a Diploma in Community Health and Development from Lake Institute of Tropical Medicine.  She volunteered as a Community Health Assistant (CHA) at Nyahera Sub-county hospital, Bar A community unit for four years where she was responsible for community mobilization and sensitization, health and finance education, data entry, and default tracing.  

She has also worked as a MTIBA agent for Kisumu county (Universal Health Coverage) and as an Enumerator with Kenya Bureau of Statistics (KNBS).

She joined the GHC team in 2021, as part of the Homa Bay branch. She is responsible for helping to empower and improve the health, economic and social status of the CHEC participants. 

Salome is in charge of GHC's Homa Bay villages. She is a responsible, committed and determined team player. She is curious and loves learning new things.  She also is well versed in dealing with diverse communities. 

In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, watching movies and listening to music.
