Every quilt is handcrafted in Nyamokenye Village, Kenya, by members of a Community Health and Empowerment Club (CHEC). A portion of every purchase goes straight back into the community's table bank, seed money that keeps circulating long after the sale.
Where things stand
Seven women and one man in Nyamokenye finished a 20-day sewing training this summer. Ten machines, kitenge fabric, and a group ready to build a real business, one quilt at a time. The first pieces are still in progress. We're not selling yet, but we will be soon.
