Mimi grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago, graduated from Northwestern University and then moved down to Texas for 7 years. While there she worked in management consulting and got her Masters at UT Austin in Policy. After Texas, she moved to the southwestern shores of Lake Michigan, where she spent 15 years dealing with Midwestern winters. She recently moved to Asheville, NC where she currently resides.
She is the Executive Director of Operations for Global Health Connections in Denver, where she wears many hats. As the main liaison between Denver and Kenya, she works closely with the Kisii team on a daily basis. She also has her hands in marketing, budgeting, project development and grant writing. In July 2023, Mimi graduated from CU Denver with an MBA and became a full-time GHC employee. She is eager to grow this organization and see where it can go!
In a previous life, she raced XTERRA off-road triathlon for 10 years and won 5 World Championships. 4 years ago she also started a triathlon/adventure racing coaching company with a partner and watched it grow and succeed over the years, starting with 10 members and expanding to over 100.
While not studying or working Mimi can be found flying down mountains on her bike and hanging out with her wife, 3 kids and labradoodle Penny.
