Mimi grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago, graduated from Northwestern University and then moved down to Texas for 7 years. While there she worked in management consulting and got her Masters at UT Austin in Policy. After Texas, she moved to the southwestern shores of Lake Michigan, where she spent 15 years dealing with Midwestern winters. She recently moved to Asheville, NC where she currently resides.
Mimi is the Director of Marketing for Global Health Connections (GHC), where she leads the organization’s storytelling, branding, and strategic communications. She collaborates closely with GHC’s Kenya team to highlight impact, build donor engagement, and advance the organization’s mission through powerful, community-driven narratives. Mimi also supports grant writing, partner communications, and the development of GHC’s signature programs—VillageRise and Adopt-a-Village. She is a member of GHC’s Executive Leadership Committee, helping shape the organization’s vision and strategic direction.
She earned her MBA from CU Denver in July 2023 and joined GHC full-time soon after. She’s passionate about growing the organization and amplifying the voices of the communities it serves.
In a previous life, she raced XTERRA off-road triathlon for 10 years and won 5 World Championships. 4 years ago she also started a triathlon/adventure racing coaching company with a partner and watched it grow and succeed over the years, starting with 10 members and expanding to over 100.
While not studying or working Mimi can be found flying down mountains on her bike and hanging out with her wife, 3 kids and labradoodle Penny.
