Margaret is GHC’s Regional Coordinator in Kisii, Nyamira and Migori counties. She holds a Diploma in General Agriculture and Home Economics from Bukura Institute of Agriculture. She worked with National Cereals and the Produce Board as a quality assurance officer. Margaret was a tutor at Maasai heritage catering school for three years, teaching about local foods and volunteers with UNHCR and Red Cross at Keroka IDP camp. While there, she did refresher courses on WASH, counseling and disaster management. She worked with Scope International for eight years as a health coordinator and later as a field officer for both Nyamira and Kisii counties. She also worked as a farm manager at Nyagoto farm before joining Global Health Connections. She has many years of experience in community health, agriculture and development work, and has proven very successful managing and coordinating community projects.
Margaret also offers expert agricultural advice in the Clubs on kitchen gardens and other economic projects such as beekeeping. In her spare time, Margaret loves to garden and farm, share her wisdom with others, and listen to music.
